People with dysregulation may not have an appropriate emotive response to the situation they are in. When someone is experiencing emotional dysregulation, they may have difficulty regulating their emotions and have angry outbursts, anxiety, depression, or display self-damaging behaviors. It is very common in children and adolescents and can persist into adulthood.
